Tamarack’s culture is built around hard work, celebrating our successes and family. This month, we celebrate all three of these areas and a truly amazing accomplishment with a wonderful family.
Kendall Gretsch, daughter of Tamarack’s own Rick Gretsch (board member and senior product manager) and his wife Patty, won her seventh Paralympic medal. At the 2024 Paralympics in Paris, Kendall won the silver medal in the women’s triathlon. A four-time Paralympian born with spina bifida, Gretsch completed the course in 1 hour, 7 minutes, 46 seconds – finishing 83 seconds off first place. She won gold in an exciting sprint finish at the 2020 Paralympics in Tokyo.
She has now won seven Paralympic medals – four gold, two silver and one bronze. She won a gold medal in biathlon and another in cross-country skiing at the 2018 Paralympic Winter Games in Pyeongchang. Gretsch won gold, silver and bronze medals at the 2022 Winter Games in Beijing. She is one of only five Paralympians EVER to have won gold medals in both the Summer and Winter Paralympic Games. She is also the first American to claim a medal in the biathlon in either the Olympics or Paralympics. Read more about Kendall’s accomplishments here.
To be an athlete at the Paralympic/professional level, it takes a strong support system. From her start in the pool to her transition to the road (and the slopes) and through training, tryouts and to the Paralympics, the extended Gretsch family of mom, dad, sisters, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephew have been with Kendall at every stage.
We couldn’t be prouder of Kendall’s performance in Paris! Please join us in congratulating Kendall and the Gretsch family on this great accomplishment.

Data and analytics for EaaS success
Equipment as a Service (EaaS) challenges traditional leasing by emphasizing continuous asset management, customer behavior data, and subscription-based models. In the first of two installments for Equipment Finance Advisor, Scott Nelson explores how EaaS takes asset management to a new level and requires new types of data and new kinds of analysis.
The Summer Olympic Games may be over, but beyond the great competition and compelling athlete stories, Scott Nelson saw some great real-world examples of innovation. In his latest blog post, Nelson identifies three medal-winning ideas that equipment finance companies can glean from innovation at the Olympics.
Preparation can be daunting — especially with 1071
Discussions around compliance with Section 1071 of the Dodd-Frank Act have been swirling around for several years, but now they have taken on a greater sense of urgency. With deadlines quickly approaching, Tamarack’s Dan Nelson wondered if organizations felt prepared – so he asked. In this blog post, Nelson outlines the responses to three simple survey questions. You’ll be interested in reading what he learned and what it means.
