Celebrating success while continually improving
December 2024 Newsletter

The end of the year is an opportune time to reflect on our achievements and look forward with a sense of renewal and opportunity to the exciting possibilities that lie ahead.

It is also a time to celebrate the relationships we have built and invest in creating new connections. To that end, we are developing an efficiency scorecard for equipment finance organizations. This tool will allow companies to assess their operational efficiency and technology maturity — and will deliver an output with recommendations. The goal is to help our partners make data-driven decisions and drive the industry forward through strategic insights. There is nothing like uncovering simple, low-effort changes that drive tangible results.

In both our future plans and past successes, one thing is constant: our commitment to delivering innovation and pursuing insights that create value through our deep equipment finance experience. Working together, we are hopeful that our collective success in this coming year will create a ripple effect of positive change throughout the industry.

But first, we’ll pause to enjoy the celebrations of this season – and we hope you do too.

AI adopters encounter a more dangerous paradox

In his latest blog post, Scott Nelson introduces readers to Munger’s Paradox as it applies to the AI discussion. In essence, it addresses how “technology commoditizes the producers’ position.” Using a set of simple questions from Sangeet Paul Choudary to help AI adopters identify the risk an increase in productivity might pose as well as help identify adjustments that might be made to avoid losing the benefits, Nelson contends that in the equipment finance industry, the “attentive and prepared” have the opportunity to parry threats and thrive with new advantages of scale.
