Looking forward to meeting with you at this fall’s industry events to share some pictures of Bruno in the field and learn what you are excited about in this next season!
Like many places in the country, Minnesota has weather that can change drastically overnight! Just yesterday it was sunny, calm and 82 degrees with water temps in the 70s. Today, the high will be 59, and I find myself starting a fire in the woodburning stove. Generally, late August weather provides sunny and comfortable days and chilly nights – very conducive to leaving the windows open at night for cool fresh air for sleeping.
It's also time for the Minnesota State Fair. Through my travels across the country, I’ve often received a sideways glance when I mention this event. Billed as the “Great Minnesota Get-Together,” it has been documented as one of, if not the, largest of all 50 states! I’ll be there again this year for perennial favorites: cheese curds and corndogs. The events signal the end of summer slipping into fall. Which means hunting season is just weeks away. Late September and October are probably my favorite time of year. And this year is no exception as Bruno – our German Shorthair Pointer and the newest member of the family – is full grown, professionally trained and ready for grouse and pheasant hunts. So, my anticipation is especially high!
Two weeks ago, while on a training run in the field, Bruno discovered the downside of barbed wire fences. Ten stitches and a dozen staples later, he was patched up and placed on a 12-day supply of “doggie downers” to give time to heal. The staples are out now, he’s cleared to hunt and I’m hoping he learned the fence lesson.
It's showtime, Bruno!
Analogous to the upcoming hunting season for us at Tamarack: the fall conference season (the Great Equipment Finance Get-Together!). Yes, we have a suite of both established and proven products (DataConsole™, ExecutiveAIR™ and TrailView™), but, like Bruno, we’ve been working for the last year on a few new things and are ready for the big shows! (See SyndicationBuilder™ and FloorPlan.)
Looking forward to meeting with you at this fall’s industry events to share some pictures of Bruno in the field and learn what you are excited about in this next season!
New FloorPlan financing tool combines, tracks data
How well do you know where your capital is—right now? Scott Nelson and Tim Appleget, CLFP, spoke with Equipment Finance News aboutDataConsole FloorPlan, Tamarack’s new tool for turning floorplan financing data into a business advantage.
“Having an ability to track metrics on a more pattern basis historically, being able to segment the data into different groupings and look at it and isolate certain segments of business—those things serve all the purposes for why this became a burgeoning area for us,” said Appleget.
AI takes center stage at ELFA Innovation Lab Conference & Exhibition
Tamarack heads to Denver September 8-10 for the ELFA Innovation Lab Conference & Exhibition. With AI taking center stage, we’re excited to have Scott Nelson present the “AI 101” session on Monday from 4-4:30 p.m.
In the session, Scott will break down the basics and explore how AI and machine learning are transforming equipment finance. Specifically, he will explain how to identify opportunities for digital transformation, streamline manual processes, and apply AI to areas like risk assessment, customer service, and equipment lifecycle management. If you can’t make the session but want more info, look for the presentation slides on our blog after the conference.
Mark your calendars: NEFA Fall Conference in Minneapolis
Tamarack is excited to welcome the NEFA Fall Conference to our hometown of Minneapolis this October 14–16. As proud supporters of NEFA, we look forward to connecting with colleagues and exploring what’s next in equipment finance.
Be sure to mark your calendar for Thursday, October 16 from 2:30-3:30 p.m. Tamarack’s Scott Nelson will be leading the “Data creates fertile ground for growing lines of credit” panel discussion. In the session, panelists will explore how the right data—and the right story—drive credit and funding success.
AI may change how equipment finance operates, but Jevons paradox suggests efficiency can actually spark more demand—not less. In his most recent article for Equipment Finance Advisor, Scott Nelson explores how AI will both automate tasks and expand opportunities, with some roles shrinking while others grow in importance.
Tamarack is a technology company that understands equipment finance. Access to capital provides access to data, and data protects capital. If you were forwarded this email we invite you to subscribe here.
